A Good Skin Care Cream can help deal with Stretch Marks and Scars

by Aileen Fitzharris

Good looking skin is not always healthy. But, healthy skin will always look good. This is why skin care is so important, especially when trying to deal with scars and stretch marks.

Scars and stretch marks can affect anyone, no matter their age. Of course, factors such as gender and the extent of the damage will determine the extent of scar tissue. Nevertheless, treating scars and stretch marks is pretty much the same for everyone.

Scar Creams for Scar Treatment

Almost everyone in the world has at least one scar somewhere on their body. Scarring is the result of the body's natural process that helps heal wounds. Small wounds will generally heal without leaving scar tissue, but more extensive wounds can leave permanent scars.

Scar removal methods will often include laser treatment, resurfacing techniques and surgery, however, there are also other less invasive treatments that are just as effective, such is the case of certain skin care creams that are able to target the scar tissue. This type of treatment is best used on facial scars.

When choosing a scar cream, you should make sure that it contains the right ingredients. Natural ingredients such as Vitamin C and Vitamin A are both essential to scar repair and healthy skin.

Essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) help promote the production of new, healthy cells that replace scar tissue. You can apply these fatty acids directly to the wound or incorporate them as part of your diet.

Helix aspersa muller extract has also shown great results as a scar removal ingredient. It contains copper peptides, which can boost skin renewal by prompting new capillary formation and triggering the creation of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans.

Stretch Marks Creams

Stretch marks are the result of the excessive stretching of the skin. Extreme weight gain or weight loss, pregnancy, and growth spurts are the most common causes of stretched skin. Stretch marks treatments may also include surgery.

The only problem with surgery is that it is most effective on people with loose skin, which means that if you have stretch marks but no loose skin then plastic surgery isn't an option. Stretch mark creams that contain rose hip oil are the best option for people with stretch marks. This natural ingredient is made with a combination of elements that make it ideal for stretch mark and scar treatment.

Rose hip seed oil has been used for centuries by indigenous tribes in the south of Chile. Its curative properties are partly due to the fact that it is rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C, and essential fatty acids. Retinoic acid is an ingredient derived from Vitamin A. This ingredient helps increase the rate of cell turnover and replace epithelial cells. Furthermore, Vitamin C helps boost the production of collagen and elastin so that scars do not look as prominent.

Essential fatty acids are the basic factors involved in the regeneration and reparation of healthy skin membranes which means that rose hip oil can be used for the treatment for scars.

BERRYSISTIBLE Stretch Mark Cream is great for stretch marks and scars treatment, and is gentle enough to be used with facial acne scars. STRETCH MARK CREAM can also be used to help prevent the appearance of stretch marks as long as it is used before, during and after pregnancy.
