Skin Care Cream and the Right Ingredients for Scars and Stretch Marks

by Aileen Fitzharris

Stretch marks and scars have a strong influence over our self-esteem. This is why there is so much interest in finding a effective treatment will make skin smooth and blemish-free again. Fortunately, there are a variety of different options that can help you get rid of these problems.

Some of the most popular treatment options include surgery, laser therapy, dermabrasion, and chemical peels. However, these treatment options are oftentimes expensive and can cause irritation and swelling. A more affordable option are scar creams. This type of treatment is less expensive and gentler on the skin.

Alternatives for Scar Cream

If you prefer using scar creams to treat your skin, there are basically two types you can try: simple scar creams and microdermabrasion creams. The first one uses chemical processes to gradually diminish the appearance of scars and stretch marks, while the second alternative uses abrading micro crystals to slowly "sand off" scar tissue.

It is best that you use a scar cream when treating facial scars. Microdermabrasion creams may be too abrasive for some people, so if you prefer you can use this type of treatment on your body instead.

Scar and Stretch Marks Creams & Their Ingredients

No matter what type of skin care cream you are using, whether it be for aging problems, dry skin, or skin blemishes, always keep in mind that it can only be as good as the ingredients it contains. Once again you need to read the product list to make sure you are getting the most for your money.

Rose Hip Seed Oil

Rose hip oil has been used for centuries as a treatment for scars and as a stretch marks treatment. It contains high levels of Vitamins A and C as well as essential fatty acids. This combination of substances is what makes rose hip oil ideal for scar removal as it helps eliminate damaged tissue and replace it with healthy skin cells.

Rose hip oil has long been used for stretch marks treatment and other types of scar tissue. It has a high concentration of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and essential fatty acids which make it ideal for reducing the appearance of abnormal tissue. These components help promote the elimination of damaged skin and help boost the growth of new skin cells.

This product is most effective if it is used in its pure, oil form. However, it can also be found in a variety of skin care products (especially for dry skin). Rose hip oil has also been used to treat other skin problems such as dermatitis and eczema.

Snail Serum

Another natural ingredient that can help with scar removal is snail serum. It contains copper peptides which can help increase the rate of skin renewal. Copper peptides can also help increase the formation of collagen, elastin, new capillaries, and glycosaminoglycans.

Snail serum was rediscovered by heliciculture workers in Chile that noticed their skin was smoother and that their scars would disappear quicker when they came in contact with the snails. The importance of this rediscovery made helix aspersa muller extract (another name for snail slime) an important ingredient in several skin care products.

BERRYSISTIBLE CREAM is a great for treating acne scars. In fact, it is also a scar treatment in general because it is made with snail serum. BIOROSEHIPOIL, however, is a pure form of rose hip oil and can be used to help treat stretch marks.
