Skin Rash Rescue: How to Deal with Very Dry Skin

by Grant Ferns

Dry skin is difficult to treat because it is less resistant to the aging process, more sensitive to environmental factors, and can easily become irritated with certain ingredients. However, it's nothing like treating very dry skin.

You don't end-up with very dry skin just because you left your dry skin untreated. Actuallly, it is a subtype of dry skin that is characterized by tight, sensitive, and extremely dry skin. What makes things even worse is that traditional treatments used for dry skin may not even work for very dry skin.

Fortunately, when following a good skin care plan you can effectively treat this type of skin. This plan should include a skin rash rescue to deal with sudden allergic reactions. In fact, some lifestyle changes will help with this type of treatment.

A Skin Care Routine for Very Dry Skin

Normal dry skin can usually be treated with cream cleansers and creamy moisturizers; however, when treating very dry skin you'll probably have to switch over to oils.

Olive oil is a great cleanser for treating very dry skin. Simply massage a little bit of oil all over your face. Wait a few minutes so that you allow the oil penetrate the skin. Once you've done this, take a warm, moist washcloth and lay it on your skin. The washcloth will cool off and you will be able to remove the excess oil with ease. Finish off by applying your moisturizer.

If your normal moisturizer isn't doing the trick, then you can also use rose hip oil to help moisturize your skin. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and treats dryness almost instantly. Reapply this product as often as your need to during the day (make sure to use sunblock if you plan on heading outside).

If you don't want to change your current skin care routine, just make sure that none of the products you are using are made with fragrances or alcohol. Both alcohol and fragrances can cause irritation and dehydration, so before purchasing any product, make sure to read the labels.

An Integral Skin Rash Rescue Plan

If your skin is still dry, irritated and/or develops rashes, you may want to try a few changes in your daily habits. As a matter of fact, a proper skin rash rescue plan will only be effective if you implement lifestyle changes. The right products will help, but bad habits will only counteract their effect.

Start by making some changes in your diet: eliminate (or moderate) your caffeine, alcohol and soda intake. All of these drinks are known to promote dehydration, itchy skin, and possible rashes. By making these simple changes you will not only be helping your skin, but you will also be improving your overall health.

Using a sensitive skin balm for rashes is also a good idea. Products that contain ingredients such as aloe vera, rose hip seed oil, or licorice root extract will help you soothe irritated skin. They can also help moisturize the affected area.

Other changes you can make to better your skin and lifestyle are: changing synthetic fabrics for natural fibers, using a humidifier, and drinking plenty of water. Remember, consistency is the key in any situation, and these suggestions will only work if you commit to a long term lifestyle change.

BIOSKINBALM is a dry skin care product that contains Helix aspersa muller extract. This ingredient, also known as snail serum has a soothing and moisturizing effect on dry and sensitive skin. BIOSKINBALM can also be used to treat other skin problems such as: psoriasis, rosacea, eczema & dermatitis.
